CWMALLS World’s Fashion Trends Sharing And Review Series — Chanel To Show Their Crusie 2020 In Hong Kong This November

The brand will be re-imagining their train station-themed runway

Hot on the heels of the announcement they will be showing their iconic Mademoiselle Privé exhibition in Tokyo, Chanel has even more exciting news for their Asia-based fans, followers and consumers. The French fashion house will be presenting their Cruise 2020 collection in Hong Kong later this year.

First staged in May at Le Grand Palais, the collection, which was Virginie Viard’s first for the brand since the passing of Karl Lagerfeld, was travel themed. Chanel turned the space into a Beaux-Arts style train station, perhaps symbolising the new journey and adventure the brand is embarking on.

On 6 November, at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal located in the heart of Hong Kong’s magnificent Victoria Harbour, the brand’s Cruise 2020 show will be re-imagined in a new setting.

The brand is notorious for keeping their sartorial cards close to their chest ahead of their runway shows, and subsequently transporting guests into an experiential and theatrical experience. Whilst Chanel are yet to share any more details on what views can expect at the Hong Kong presentation, we’re expecting to see all 79 of the looks – wax jackets, utilitarian separates and bows adorning blouses – with models clad in dark, ultra-glossy lips.
